1) Anthony. It's on my birth certificate and all alone sans middle name, but nobody calls me by it except dreaded people in offices, like dentists and that. It's the version with the softer sound in the middle. Appropriate.
2) Autumn. How I feel a lot of the time, and here in North Carolina a really pretty time of the year when the leaves all change real nice, like.
3) America. I would like to get away from it, please. Just for a little while at least. Roll on the first week in September. I haven't seen my mum in over three years.
4) Apathy. I hate it but I'm a victim of it a lot these days. Living alone you have no one around to buck you up when you most need it, which for me is usually just before I go to sleep early in the morning, when I get afraid.
5) Alcohol. Too much of a substitute for the absence in the afforementioned. The garage across the street sells cheap tallboys. It's not a problem though, it isn't every night.
6) Absolute, on power drive. It's a line from a song I like to say out loud sometimes. I just really dig the way it sounds, and A is such a hard letter to get acquainted to. I'm sitting here with a dictionary and a thesaurus, man. Let's do it personal instead.
7) Alan. I thought I'd lost him but he came back. Always loved that guy. He's in Pensacola now, and working in a bank. I stayed up until four thirty last night making him a tape.
8) Anno. I let him down badly last time I was home by forgetting to go and see him and I wonder if he forgave me for that. I hope I can make it up to him this time around. I really miss him in my life, and there's this thing over the telephone line in between the words that I can't get past.
9) Amanda. My almost girl. Almost but not quite just yet. She's coming to England with me and I couldn't be happier.
