Some people just don't like the truth. The concept is just to scary and is left forgotten by the side of the road. Those who pick up the truth trash are shunned from society and given red pins to wear on their hats, they are transformed into the Sitar in Moulin Rouge and from their prison cells they scream: THE GREATEST THING YOU'LL EVER LEARN IS JUST TO LOvE AND BE LOVED IN RETURN. And so I give you are story, a story ruled by truth trash and by hopeless bisexual bohemians. I give you...
THE L WORD
(Love, idiot)
Cool air blew across Forrest's bear chest, yet he barely noticed, his ears focused on a slight russle in the bushes he had heard. He didn't see anything so he continued to strip, letting the autumn wind blow over him before he plunged into the freezing water below. The water which rippled around was refreshing and cleared his mind. He would not kill Aaron after all, his heart would heal, he oculd find someone better than Tibbi. At that moment he heard the russle come from bushes again, this time accompanied by a visual. A pretty girl with red hair and a fair complexion had just step from the woods, a book and blanket in her hands. Forrest was caught of guard and while he made an attempt to hide behind some cattails, it was to late, she had seen him. Her face was slightly embarresed. "I'm sorry! I didn't...I didn't know anyone was here." Her voice was perplexed and her eyes darting elsewhere.
"It's not your fault, I was just passing through the area and saw this pond, I had worked so hard all day I could not resist the cool water" He looked straight on at her, not embarresed by his bare body. Carolyn's eyes darted once or twice more and than gave up trying to deny his nudity. She looked straight at him.
"This is my family's pond, don't you think it was rude to intrude upon it?" Forrest smiled, he had to admire her nerve, most girls would know better, they would be afraid of a naked man in the woods, alone.
"I was not thinking clearly, my mind was occupied by unwelcome thoughts." His mind briefly drifted back to those thoughts then refocused.
"Oh. Who are you?"
"I'm sorry! I'm Forrest, my father is Peter, he is a farmer.
"In Avon?"
"Yes, are our families know eachother?"
"I think we're connected through friends. My name is Carolyn"
"Nice to meet you." There was an awkward pause, Forrest had no towel and he could not remove himself from the pond without showing his most unseemly parts, he had no towel. Carolyn held out her blanket.
"Take this blanket," she said, "It's old anyway."
"Thank you." After getting out the pond in a sufficiently uncomfortable manner he realized he couldn't get dressed without flashing Carolyn. "Err...Do you think you could...?"
"Oh! Uhh, yeah." Carolyn turned away, her cheeks obviously somewhat flushed. After getting dressed he appraoched Carolyn whose back was still turned, he touched hr should lightly.
"I'll be going now, have fun with your..." He glanced to at her book, "Have fun with your bible I guess."
"Thank you, I will." There eyes met for a brief and terribly uncomfortable moment. Forrest turned and tried best to walk, not run, away.
"I love you!", "No I love you!". "Please just make it stop" Ellyn thought to herself, she turned to Zack with a pleeding look in her eyes. Zack looked back and smiled maliciously,
"I love you." Ellyn tried not to laugh.
"No, I love you." They continued on with even more retarded tones until finally Maggie and Andrew finally looked away from each other and across the table at Ellyn and Zack.
"What?" The two demanded."
"Nothing." Ellyn and Zack replied, stopping their show at once and turning back to their food.
"You're mean." Maggie said.
"No, you're mean." Ellyn and Zack replied in unison.
There was no denying it, the double date had been a terrible idea. Not only had Ellyn and Zack spent the majority of date mocking Maggie and Andrew for their endless cooings and gropings, but the service was bad and Ellyn, more than anything just wanted to be alone with Zack. After they had finished their food Ellyn almost ran for the door. When they were safely in the car Ellyn leaned in for a kiss. "We are never doing that again." Zack whispered as Ellyn pulled away.
"Kissing!?" Ellyn sat back quickly and looked appalled. Zack turned towards her and gave her a confused look.
"What? No, I mean going on a double date with the congealed love duo."
"Oh! Yes, I agree, that was an hour of pure torture."
"Now, about that kissing thing..." The two leaned in, unfortunatly Ellyn's eyes glanced at the clock and she swore.
"It's five and I need to be home in three minutes to get ready to go to this thing with Hannah!" Zack sighed and started up the engine. He backed up and they pulled out onto the road, the traffic was bad so the pair kept quiet. Ellyn, however, could not stop herself staring Zack's face. It was concentrated, his lips pulled tightly together, his eyes narrowed. He finally glanced at her and smile, their eyes met and Ellyn decided it was worth being late, they could just pull over into that parking lot for a minute...Suddeny there was earsplitting screech in front of them, followed by the sound of glass shattering and are car being crunched like a pepsi can. Zacked pulled the stearing wheel hard to the right and suddenly they were rolling, all Ellyn could hear was more shattering glass and she felt some kind of severe pain all over her face and arms. The airbags had come out the a pounding force and she couldn't breath for a moment. The car finally stopped rolling and Ellyn tried to move, something smelled liked gasoline...and smoke. She tried to lift her limbs but they would not listen, they could not. She found herself screaming for Zack and wet flesh touch her arm, gripping hold of it. She called out again for Zack, and the grip tightened. Suddenly there was a loud noise and as she felt the car disintigrate around her, she felt the hand hold tighter, proving she had not shattered yet.
