has anyone else noticed the thick fog that rolls in at midnight?
driving around late at night listening to something to the slow beat of my resting heart-rate, if you stick your hand out to ash a cigarette, your hand is moist. it's wild.the water is too light to fall to the ground, so it's just hanging in the air waiting for a hand or a car or a mailbox to stick to. all of the blinking lights glow, and all the streetlights filtered through a branch show the paths of light and shadow. and if you can find a hill in the flatlands of florida, even on a road you know, you'll swear you're about to soar off a cliff. it's really wonderful and you might want to flip off the headlights of your car for a second; and then there you are, going forty-something into a sheet of black velvet.
