I want red heart-shaped sunglasses, Lolita style.
I found some for like $9 on this website, but the shipping is an astronomical $7.95, so it's kind of not worth it.
Tyler came to visit! He drove up yesterday afternoon and went with me to get my septum pierced at Empire. There's something really nice about having another person in the room while a needle the size of Texas is charging through your nose cartilage. It's especially nice when that person doesn't mind taking your sweaty palm and letting you squeeze the bejesus out of their hand bones.
My septum's rad, by the way. I'll post pictures, uh, sometime.
Took Tyler on an abbreviated tour of Asheville's downtown, which meant that I essentially walked at breakneck speed pointing places out and saying things like "don't go there" or "that place is cool, if you like assholes" and "this street is the only street you need to know about". Hopefully, next time he comes up, I won't be in such an "i'm so jaded about downtown" mood.
Met up with Shelley and saw Kite Runner at the Fine Arts Theater (for free.) I read the book and loved it dearly, but I felt like the movie left something to be desired. I don't know. Maybe that's just me.
Got a few beerz and went back to the house and chatted up a storm for a while, before tucking in for the night.
Up at 7 AM this morning. Geh.
I pleaded with Amber to let me off early and she finally said "whatever", which means "yeah", so I left at 2pm and now I have time to take a nap.
Tonight's an art opening for some girl, and hopefully I'll get to actually have a night out on the town.
