okay, so i traveled to Boston and Maine this weekend. My grandmother came along. Well, my grandmother has interesting characteristics that she shows while traveling, i thought i might share them. okay lets start with hotels:
rules of grandma:
1) always, always ask for two double beds- one for sleep, one for luggage
2) everytime you leave your hotel room you must lock all luggage and put everything away
in her mind the maids want to steal a 73 year olds belongings. grandma thought" you really cant trust them ( them being the maids) - and this is all rationalized in her head because they are lower class
3) at the restaurant - you can complain and re-order as much as you want because YOU are the customer and the waiters and waitresses must bow down and serve your every need
moving on to qoutes/ thoughts while walking in the city
1) as soon as a black man gets close hold on tight to that bag - but all those crack addict white guys you can be totally relaxed around
2) never look a homeless person in the eyes
3) it is alright to complain to the peanut stand guys - because they have the power to change the taste
airport
1) only thing needed to say is - she complains about 1st class
-PLEASE DONT GET ME WRONG - im not complaining about my grandma - i love her dearly - but i am just stating what is going on - i dont know if it is the age - or if it is looking out for your children and grandchildren -
sound familiar to anyone
