大阪に行った事ある。

Was in Osaka today. I'm really tired and just wanted to update quickly before heading to bed. With a minor review of the day in "the big city". ~

Me and Howard met up outside of the trainstation, changed trains in Saidaiji and finally arrived on a semi-express(!!! SEMI?! It was friggin' slow!) to Nanba station. Going up into the crowd of Dotonbori, Osaka. LOADS of Pachinko parlors, I'd say Osaka is Japan's Gangster Paradise! Easy! Although we didn't see any Yakuza. Not that I noticed, anyway, but honestly... I wasn't expecting to either...

After checking out random stuff, VSing Howard in Guilty Gear XX and winning, and just generally cruising... we went into the "Go Get; Osaka" shop... a second-hand store on five floors. It was majorly retro, and had a real old school feel. Which is pretty popular in Sweden as well, but Howard was totally surprised since Australia seemingly doesn't have a lot of that. By chance we met Sakurai-senpai, Soccer team player, which is seriously one in... how many? We hung out with him for a while before Howard went and met Erik (another Swedish exchange student currently living 20 min from central Osaka), at Nanba station, who had yet to go to sleep after spending the entire night partying at a BBQ.

We ate some, went and checked out some more shops, and then went to Nippinbashi! Den Den Town, filled with hyper super duper kool technical stuff, and finally I bought a modest pile of doujinshi for barely 2000 yen. Wooot! Mostly MomoKai, so I'm content. And I had interesting discussions with the guys about Yaoi. There was a lot of stuff I could have bought, most of it came with interesting Omake, but I kept it low since... I can basically go there anytime really... takes about 40-50 min in total.

After some more general slacking around we went our separate ways, and my head was hurting so bad on the way home when I rode my bike. Who would have ever thought that talking English and Swedish could make my head hurt. Before, it was the other way around, my head would feel heavy after an entire day of Japanese... but now I can barely handle NOT talking Japanese for a while.

Gotta sleep, I have class tomorrow. But I'll post some random touristy pictures from Osaka soon!! And give a more interesting review of the sparkly day in the big metropolitan area of Osaka.
