Without providing a logical answer to a statement that was not meant to be logical, I'll provide this image: I'm not sure two ticks taking turns sucking one another's blood does either of them much good.

I'm a fan of mutualism. There are good partnerships out there in the animal economy that I would rather take my cues from, like those little fish that sort of do dental hygeine and de-lousings of sorts on gigantic whales. Or something like all that.

Having said all that, I think by definition (that I'm positing right now), parasitism cannot be mutual and successful at the same time.

I think maybe one of the things I'm gesturing at... ummm... "poetically" and anecdotally is that I notice more people effectively behaving like the two ticks than I notice people behaving like the whale and the dentist fish. I notice that bias, that is, when I'm feeling like a prickly sort of fellow. The fact that cities are able to sustain themselves gives me cause to consider that mutualism flourishes just fine despite whatever opinions scurry their way up from my asshole.

I'm laughing with me, Casey, not at me. What in heaven's name made you think you had anything to do with anything? Oh, me...

Here I thought maybe we were having a rhetorical circle jerk.

I got your message by the way... hang out is go... possibly tomorrow night? If not then, Thursday night?
