Well, Hank, I gotta admit... I still have some vestiges of ideology, but I sympathize with that statement. I don't think its completely true, but it's perhaps resonant enough to be true in many cases.
I still like Punk Rock, and believe it can do cool things. It's formless enough to be able to enjoy multiple readings, some of which place the accent on practicality and getting shit done. I like when adults figure out how to translate all that ideology into something useful, and into something that's able to sustain or supplement their lives.
