the last time I updated was..last year?
I usually use livejournal to check out what other people are up to and not to tell others what I'm doing. However, because I've lost contact with many people I've decided to tell people (anyone that's interested to read this that is) what I've been up to..
I would put pictures but I don't know to do it without placing it under a link people could click on..
let's see...It's hard to sum up everything I've been doing so I'll mention the most exciting 'journeys' i've been on.
I met up with pam some time this week after not seeing her for a year and it was just like old times. we talked and she paid for my dinner. we ate at some diner, which seems like a popular franchise here in sf. while eating we see a few of kids from her school. they're dressed up for prom- obviously eating at the diner before heading off to prom. i don't think they serve dinner at their proms cause they're at least 300 kids there. so pam and i decide. why not crash their prom! or at least see what it's like. we finish dinner and head our way to city hall. we see so many limos in the streets that if i were to go to prom here i would so rent a HUMMER LIMO. hell yes. it was about 8 20 pm when we were heading towards city hall. when pam suddenly asked if i'd been to china town yet and since i hadn't we decided to walk under this long tunnel that would take us there. we had a feeling the shops would be closed but we were curious to maybe seeing at least a few shops open. we go through the tunnel to see what we expected. closed shops. but a pretty good view. we stay there half of the time it took us to go through the tunnel and walked back to the main area. we were deciding whether or not we should crash the prom- since we had no idea if they'd let us in or not. so pam calls her friend to find out but her friend obviously doesn't know and tells us to head down anyway. at around 840 pm we walk down to city hall. pam tells me we should take the subway cause it's a lot faster and she doubts that there's anyone on guard so we could do it for free. so we get on and quickly get off the next block. pam fails to tell me before the journey to city hall that the area around city hall is very scary. a lot of the crazy homeless people live there and you usually see bikers around. so, me being scared shitless that moment was near pam who isn't excactly the bravest person in the world. we aren't even up on the streets yet and we already see cops searching some guy. i think, shit! but pam tells me just to stay calm and don't make eye contact. no eye contact! that's kind of hard being the curious george that i am...
we're finallyon the streets. i realize pam has no idea where city hall is but she mentions that it's huge so she'd see it anyway. she didn't see it until we decided to walk back downtown! (in the area where we were that walk seemed extremely long..) anyways, we decide to go to city hall anyway since it was right there. we attempt to cross the streets with a little hesitation since a group of bikers were surrounding the carls jr. near by. i try not to make eye contact and insist that we should follow some happy couple in front of us, which was excactly what we did. scary. then i realize we have to cross this empty area full of crazy homeless people that try and talk to you. although the area was open, it was DARK! extremely dark! the only lights that shined where from the carl's jr. and the street about 400 m away. so pam and i walk across. our walks turning into stries until we eventually runa cross the open area screaming that were late for prom to anyone that speaks to us. not cool but then again quite fun. we finally get across and see a group of kids dressed up and stay behind them walking towards city hall....city hall was, wow. it looked so nice. limos pulled up in front of these stairs and spotlights right outside the entrance like something important was going on inside. no wonder prom is such a big event for some people. we finally reach the entrance and we already know that with the way everyone's dressed we would never be allowed in. they even had a metal detector right after the entrance door!! haha. i found that pretty funny but then again there were sooo many kids inside. it was insane. it'd be awesome if brent had that many kids for prom...
so we wait outside the door finally realizing pam's friend didn't think she could come out because they wouldn't let her back in. so we wait around for 15 minutes looking at people's dresses. once were done we decide to walk back downtown instead of taking the subway. we take the side street and we were safe from there. aside from the random dude that kept trying to say hi to us in his car. freaky. pam drops me off at my bus stop and from there everything was fine..I thought I'd get lost and miss my stop but luckily there were more people that got off when i did..
the bus stop thing kind of relates to my second journey..the journey to pam's school (right beside stonestown alisa)...I'll save that story for later cause my entry sems way too long that i doubt people will read all of it. unless you're extremely bored this summer and spend your time online every chance you could. then this entry is for you..
