Art & Wine Walk, and the A-Kon Aftermath

Jun 18, 2011 00:06

Golly jeepers! Seems I'm not back in town for a moment before I'm right back at work! But local appearance stuff, dude, local appearance stuff. After all, it's already time again for the Grand Cities Art & Wine Walk! I'll be spending June 18 sitting pretty at Level 10 Martini Lounge...which is awesome. It's a place I like; they have groovy chairs. And martinis. These are good things. And now they're gonna have little ol' me and my smorgasbord of comics and comics accessories. Hooray! So if you're in the area, please stop by and see me while you're doin' the pub crawl!

So...A-Kon aftermath. I'm pretty exhausted. I love A-Kon, you guys. I love it so much. And I love all my rad friends in webcomics...Juno Blair B. and Crystal Yates and Cari Corene and Mookie and Jennie Breeden. So much love. Go read their comics.

So, uh...with ridiculous travel difficulties I ended up being on a completely different set of panels than I thought I was. Still did my solo watercolor panel. But then I did "Story-Driven Webcomics" and "Character Development in Webcomics" with Mookie and Crystal, and I was on a session of "Iron Artists", where artists face off in challenges to draw wacky mash-up concept pictures before a crowd. That was fun. And I also did a solo panel on "The Art of Anatomy", which I thought went pretty great.

And here are some drawings that I did during the con:

Hooray!

Before my trip, I also painted this...
...in support of the Oracle Create-a-Thon. (Here's my particular commentary on the matter.)

Yyyyyyyyyyyyep. I should...maybe find some time to sleep, or something? Art & Wine Walk. Level 10. Come by and see me, all right?
