Grand total of 31 V'Day sketches this year. Pretty respectable, I think. This year there's only one that's, ya know, particularly challenging. They're almost all gonna be drawings of folks' original characters...and those are probably my favorite requests to grant. (Save for one request for The Monarch and Dr. Mrs. The Monarch. Hell. Yes.)

radical_jojo: Oh, he likes the tropics. He's very much a hot-weather guy. Hot and humid is what he prefers. Dude's a lizard, after all.

Do jellyfish sting him and can he control crocs?
JoJo: Jellyfish sting him, yes. He can talk to crocs, but they may or may not decide to listen to what he's saying. They'd be pretty monosyllabic. (Think of the crocs in "Pearls Before Swine".)
Yammo: What else can he talk to
JoJo: Well, the way the universe is set up is that there are four basic elements that compose all of existence: matter, energy, information, and spirit. Spirit is the flipside to matter. Information is the flipside to energy. Two parallel categories. Living creatures are composed of different, mmm...percentages of spirit and matter, the invisible and visible materials that make them up, respectively. Different creatures have different compositions. A normal human being is 50/50 matter and spirit. The Makeshift Man is somewhere between 2/3 and 3/4 spirit.
Yammo: Ah
JoJo: So he can communicate with anything on the more spiritual end of that spectrum. He can't talk to anything on the more material end. He would not, for example, be able to converse with a clam. He can talk to dogs only in a very rudimentary way.
Yammo: Aaah
JoJo: He could hold lengthy discourse with a snake.
Yammo: Oooh
JoJo: This is why he can interact with spirit creatures, like way-watchers, and also get stung by a jellyfish. A way-watcher and a jellyfish would be unable to even know the other one is there.
Yammo: They have no sprit?
JoJo: Right. But there are creatures that are basically the same as jellyfish but are spiritual ones. So it's not much of a loss for that side.
Yammo: Ah
Does he like water?
JoJo: Not really. He prefers when it's in the air. Or, ya know, if he's just chillin' out in the sunshine, dipping his toes in the water. That's nice.
Yammo: Rain?
JoJo: Not in general. Summer thunderstorms are okay, though.
