Someday, Somewhere We'll be Together Again

There are two places Gabriel visits each time he is reborn. The first is untouched by modern society; the second changes every time he visits.

He visits their lake first and looks at tree where the faded words lie, emotions hidden so well resurfacing once more.

He misses this, he misses them; he wants to feel Peter and see him with his own eyes because anything, anything would be better then this aching pain he feels.

His fingers linger on the forgotten words, whispering them to himself slowly.

"Death will not separate us."

The tears trickle down his face and he wishes that this constant cycle would end because without Peter there is nothing, he is nothing.

Gabriel turns, unable to stay here any longer, fear of what might happen next.

So he goes to their place.

~~~~
It isn't their place anymore; it hasn't been for a while.
Even as he walks through the abandon apartment he can feel the life that was once in the walls, the smiles and tears that were shared never to be forgotten by those who remembered.
His foot steps on something, the small crunch echoing in the emptiness.
His feet step backwards, curiosity arising.
It's...it's the picture.
Gabe picks it up, his eyes glued to the two men that are forever smiling. His fingers touch the photo, desperate to enter that time and place that once was and probably will never be again.
Tears prick his eyes once more and he drops to the ground, cradling the photo gently.
"Where are you, Peter?!" He screams.
There is no answer.
There might never be.
