This mirror reflects nothing back

I sit in this black car waiting for the usual dark to happen, knowing that somewhere at this exact moment there is light, laughter and affection far from me.

[ Two strangers sharing a look of new passion, their anticipation for each others touch electrifying the night sky. // A girl takes hold and pulls herself closer, gently putting her wet tongue on the softest pink walls. // An eager boy will thrust hard and deep, reaching her soul. A swallow will bring them closer together. ]

And to think, that most of these singular moments will be taken for granted, discarded as trivial sooner than later. Am I the only one that sees just how valuable these 'treasures' really are? You once said the grass was much greener on the other side... I think it's actually black.

I open the door and step out into the night rain.
