[What is the first thing a girl like Aerith would do after finally arrive to Violet City? Go to the Pokemon Center? No. Go shopping? Nope. Go find Leon and Yuffie? ...okay, fine, that was the first thing she did, but what did she do after that

Why do you ask?

[A small smile grace her lips.]
It's good to know I'm not the only one with this problem. How long have you been in Johto?

You're new, I take it? (Her location seems to hint as much, anyway.)

[She can't help shake her head a bit. A small nervous smile on her lips.]
If only I could remember being here, you know. Then maybe, it wouldn't feel like this is my first time.

Johto is a difficult thing to get used to.

[She couldn't help giggle at the thought of how Leon and Yuffie reacted to all of this. Even if they're sorta used to worse things.]
Your world isn't anything like Johto, huh?

(He's about to continue, when he suddenly realizes that he hasn't introduced himself.)
...My name is Arthur Pendragon, by the way. It's a pleasure to meet you...? (He waits for Aerith to fill in the blank.)

Realizing she forgot to introduce herself, Aerith couldn't help give an apologetic look, but no harm done; it wasn't too late to introduce herself.]
Oh, my name is Aerith, Aerith Gainsborough. It's very nice to meet you, Arthur.

All of it. My world doesn't have anything like 'ovens', or any of the other things that use the Electricity. (Yes, the Electricity. Much like The Google.) What's the point of having so many different machines, when all it takes to cook something is an open flame?
Reply
Well, for many people it is a big difference cooking their meals using different machines than using an open flame. For one thing, it's easier to cook your meals on a machine where you can control the temperature of the flame by using a simple switch. I've never cooked using an open flame, but it must be difficultt to keep the flame from burning your meal or going out. Right?
[Not like the oven is a big difference because she burns the food. If only that was the only problem with her cooking.]

(Realizing that she led him to rethink his own question, he smiles slightly, impressed.)
If you've never cooked with flame, then you must be one of the future people. Are you from Earth?

I can imagine it. Then you also have to think of safety issues, as well. Kids know how to make simple meals by using a microwave. I don't think parents would feel as relunctant to let their kids do the samething with an open flame.
[Aerith shook her head softly at the question. So just like she suspected, he was from a past world.]
No. I'm from Hollow Bastion. But I've heard of Earth. Is that your world's name?
Reply
"Earth" is my world's future. The time I was taken from is thousands of years in the past. (At that mention, a faintly forlorn look crosses his face briefly.)

Don't worry. Microwaves aren't suppose to do that...if you're wondering. [Smiles, a curious look.] What happened?
I had a feeling you were from a different time. [Slowly, the smile on her face weakened when she caught the brief look on his face, she couldn't help begin to worry.] Is something wrong?

Merlin -a person I'm traveling with- put a raw egg inside our microwave and cooked it. The smell didn't come out for a week. (Arthur was not impressed even if it was hilarious.)
(At that question, he shakes his head.)
No... Talking about this just reminds me of home. (Pause.) I've never been away from it this long.

No wonder you're so wary of microwaves. [She has an inking feeling that Merlin, his friend, didn't know how to use a microwave.] He didn't put the egg inside a container full of water, did he?
[Silently listening to Arthur's words, she couldn't help give a weak smie.]
Don't worry. I understand. [Wonders, then asks.] You feel a little homesick, don't you?
