After trying for weeks, I finally downloaded an advance copy of the Editor's new album 'An End Has A Start'. The official release isn't until sometime next month. But man, am I glad I didn't have to wait that long! New album is EXCELLENT. (I've read a lot of criticism from other fans online, which I don't understand in the least. Perhaps it's the fact that a lot of the songs are slower-paced with a darker feel than older songs such as their beloved 'Munich'. But since when is that a bad thing?!!?) I am in LOVE. Must pre-order an (official) advance copy of this one, as well as the other that's got me on the edge of my seat, Interpol's forthcoming, 'Our Love To Admire'. No matter how hard I search for that one, I've only managed to come up with the one track that's been released as a single. :( I can't wait!!!! I don't think I've been this excited about an album release since Jr High. [Flashbacks to The Cure, anyone???] Yes, I love Interpol that much.
My favorite lyrics of the album so far:

-The Weight Of The World-

Keep a light on those you love
They will be there when you die
Baby, there's no need to fear
Baby, there's no need to cry

Every little piece of you life, will add up to one
Every little piece of your life, will mean something to someone

You fuse my broken bones
Back together again
Lift the weight of the world
From my shoulders again

Every little piece of your life will add up to one
Every little piece of your life, it'll mean something to someone
Every little piece of your life, will add up to one
Every little piece of your life, will mean something to someone

You touch my face
God whispers in my ear
There are tears in my eyes
Love replaces fear
You touch my face
God whispers in my ear
There are tears in my eyes
Love replaces fear
Fear....

Every little piece of your life, will add up to one
Every little piece of your life, will mean something to someone
Every little piece of your life, will add up to one
Every little piece of your life, will mean something to someone

[Of course, those underlined bits are my favorites.] *sigh*

And speaking of The Cure, Natalie Dee must have created yesterday's cartoon especially for me:
Entitled,- 'The Benefits Of Headphones'

lol. ;)

anticipation, music
