I used to work at a credit union in Redmond and we had a few people who brought their retired greyhounds in. They are really sweet and mellow. They would just lean in to you and love attention. I would be weary of an alpha dog though...? It can effect what you do with your dog more than you think. For example you probably won't be able to take her to Marymoore off leash park. She also might not get along with the neighborhood dogs. It can be very stressful to have a dog who doesn't like other dogs. I am not trying to talk you out of it but just from experience I would think about those things. They are very sweet though!! Good luck!

Do you mean that all greyhounds are alpha? I'm not sure I totally understand, but I get your point about not liking other dogs. Thanks!

No, I don't think Greyhounds are all alpha but the link that you sent about Stirrup said that she thinks she is alpha. So that usually means that she will sometimes have trouble getting along with other dogs if they challenge her on that. I probably shouldn't have said she "doesn't like other dogs" because that isn't necessarily the case. I am sure you are doing a lot of research on the breed so it will be fine. I am actually surprised she would be alpha based on how timid I have seen the breed before. Sorry about the confusion. Tab

I'm an idiot! I see what you mean now that I re-read it. Yeah, she's been in foster for a month and she does fine with the other three dogs. She's fine with dogs on a leash too. I'm not sure why they said that in the post, but I definitely will be asking. Thanks for noticing. It's been a couple weeks since I read it. :) Oops!

That is good that she does well with the dogs at the foster home. A definite good sign that you won't have any trouble. I am glad!
