We're back

We had a fabulous time with Danielle and her family. Both of her daughters are precious and her oldest, Quin, cracks me up! Her laugh is indescribably funny.

Sorting out the schedules of three babies and four adults was challenging, but ultimately the porch got the most action as did the sangria and the shrugging of shoulders. It was go with the flow and I think everyone had a good time, even their lab that tested and re-tested my pitching arm.

I have some great photos to post later of Quin and Finn. It was a passionate affair or a super long play date; in any case, they were done with each other by Sunday and the pushing and toy stealing jumped up a new level just as it was time for us to go.

We had a fabulous time, but after getting back so late last night, we decided we need a vacation from vacation. Gone are the days of relaxed vacations. Relaxed is now a relative term that pertains to the hours of Finn's sleep... and those hours pertain to some cosmic source not yet identified.

Eric is home today and we are resetting, doing laundry and rediscovering each of Finn's cars with him.

Oh and as much as I resist the idea of Finn watching television, the DVD player was our saving grace on the plane rides. We thought we had it rough until we heard another baby his age scream for the full last hour of the flight. Her ears probably hurt, poor babe. Our child had passed out in my arms. We were cramped and sore from accommodating him, but suddenly extremely grateful.
