House Upgrades

Now that we have decided to stay, we are looking to make more changes to our house. We have a huge tax refund coming from Uncle Sam and want to funnel it right back into our house. We figure the countertops and sink get first priority along with the painting we have planned. The painting is already scheduled. I've received several bids on windows and blinds. The idea is to continue installing green features in our home. We are looking at blinds that increase the R-value of the window a great deal and will reduce our energy usage. We are looking at windows that are green seal certified, so they would not require such high tech blinds, don’t off-gas and make use of recycled products. We are going over time tables, figures and dreams trying to decide what we can do.

I've painted dozens of spots (Finn calls them balls ha) all around the living room and entry hall. I finally found my colors. Best yet, we are painting on a no-voc paint with an environmentally friendly company. :P Our countertop will definitely be of sustainable or recycled products. I'm having fun having changed our house hunt into a remodel project. I'm excited to see the changes! Our living room is going to be painted Devine Sangria…

Someone with very particular taste will have to buy our house one day. :
