We found a house. We put in an offer. We changed our minds and made it a contingent offer despite all that goes with contingency. It's a much safer option and I'm just not willing to take risks with our financial future. We are still waiting for a reply and were notified that the sellers are exploring their options. Heh. They probably don't like the low ball offer, but that's the market and we are going to play it as well as we can right now.
I have had a babysitter all afternoon yesterday and today so that I can turn into a magical furniture moving, clutter removing, and cleaning machine! It's gone very well and I can see the end in site. Tab is coming to help some tomorrow and let the kids play. It feels strange to be so busy with something else while someone cares for Finn.
While I was cleaning out our bookcase, I found one of the copied book sections that I used at the Universidad in Chile. It brought back so many memories. Due to the book shortage there (and the ban on many books at the time), when we were assigned reading, it meant checking out a book, taking it to the copy stand and ordering copies of about anywhere from 50 to 400 pages! They are literally book COPIES with plastic covers. Legal? I doubt it, but strange to think that this is the only way to have information available to you for an extended period. Usually there were only a very limited number of the books available in the library, so you had to be fast to check it out, copy it and return it. If you waited, you might not find a copy and thus not get your reading done.
Another thing that came to memory from living in Chile was how nice it was to travel EVERYWHERE by bus or taxi. I miss living in the city some days.
I made an appointment to have an IUD put in this week. I’m good with it.
