DMB was fucking AWESOME! AGHH!
"when I step into the light
my arms open wide
when I step into the light
my eyes searching wild
would you not like to be
sitting on top of the world with your legs hanging free
would you not like to be OK, OK, OK"
First, Kev and I went to breakfast around ten thirty, then met up with Jason and Leeann. We drove to Kev's Dad's house, where we swam for about an hour, plus I got to see Lynette which is pretty cool. Then we headed towards Hershey...Kev and Jason kept pretending to be each other's boyfriends, which was rather amusing...nothing beats Kevin subtly putting his arm around Jason as he was driving =)...Leeann and I goofed around and talked much of the way up, which is fun b/c she is as easily amused as I am. The Amish grow lots of potatoes! When we got to Hershey, we stopped at picnic tables and everyone ate but me. Then we went into the Arena and walked around and went up to our seats. At that point Leeann and I decided we wanted to be on the "lawn" (there was no grass on it!?)...
"I can't believe that we would lie in graves
wondering if we had spent our living days well
I can't believe that we would lie in graves
wondering what we might have been"
Dave came out around 8:30...Leeann and I got our groove on while the menfolk were stupidheads and stayed far away in the bleachers; I wish they had come down and it wasn't the same w/o Kevin, but I had a blast anyway and I'm glad I went w/Leeann...I DANCED THE ENTIRE TIME! It felt wonderful! Some guy was dancing with me and groped me! I quickly sent him away...the rest of the time I just danced by myself next to leeann, which was great... I felt so free! The energy was so wonderful, and everyone on the lawn was dancing and jumping around...nobody wanted it to end. The performance was equal to or better than the one i saw at First Union...I had an amazing time. I can't believe I danced for nearly three hours straight...I am so happy. It was like one of those feelings of joy, but the moment was much longer than usual.
"Nine planets 'round the sun
Only one does the sun embrace
Upon this watered one
So much we take for granted
So let us sleep outside tonight
Lay down in our mother's arms
For here we can rest safely"
I can't wait 'til Wednesday, when I get to do it all again...
"One sweet world
Around this star is spinning
One sweet world
And in her breath I'm swimming"
I'm so glad I found Dave. :)
