I finally got one of these things. I mean, I've had one of these contraptions for a while but never took the time to update it because I've been so busy lately with my hectic schedule. Half or little than half of you people know who I am and what band I'm in, so here's some education for you-
I'm from the band
Onesidezero. We were signed to the record label
Maverick but we broke our contract with them because of creative differences.
We have toured with a plethora of bands. Some of them were
Cold,
Trapt,
P.O.D,
Soulfly, and
Ozzy Osbourne, just to name a few.
We don't regret leaving our label. It was cherry, but we didn't have any creative freedom or freedom to grow. So we left. It was on the decision that came through all of the band members and we dealt with it accordingly. Sure there is a vast difference between touring on a tourbus and touring in an rv, but what would you rather be,
A : A sellout and never get to have a say in anything. Only going a long with what the record label thinks is best for you.
or
B:True to your own craft, yourself, your band, and your fans.
Music means more to us than getting our hands on fat wads of cash. I'm dissapointed at a lot of bands out there right now because they jump to oppertunities and sign away their creative rights so quickly only because they want to get signed in hopes of being the next big thing.
So yes, some of us have day jobs, others don't. I for one co-own a place with a friend of mine called the Devil's Punchbowl down on Lankershim in North Hollywood. Its a rockabilly/punk type bar/venue. Its hard to describe, you'd have to see it for
yourself.
Brett is a hooker, Cristian works at a porno shop called the Pleasure Chest, and Levon works at a sock factory. No, not highly likely, but it was fun pretending.
To learn more about my band, check out the website at this location
here. The Maverick Records website is no longer updated because we are not signed with Maverick anymore. But the other website, Onesidezero Online, is ran by Meagan and Lauren, two friends of our's, and they always update the website on a constant basis.
Thanks to
Johnny, for all of the layout help. We are going to cause chaos on June 28th. Its going to be a good show at the Galaxy Theater.
I need to get back into the studio. I'm taking a break right now. We are finally working on some new tracks. If you want to check them out, they can be reached over at
this site. Plus, just for kicks, we put up a really embarrassing picture of our drummer, Christmas. I'm sure he won't mind. And if he does I'll just say that it was Levon's idea and that I had no part in it. Alright, I'm off. Hit me up on the instant messanger sometime if you want Onesidejasan
