I think I just spent the worst Friday of my 2011 life yesterday. The news about Japan and assumptions that it might hit some provinces here in the Philippines was devastating.
I teach English online to Japanese people as a part time job. So I am still worried about the situation of some of my students who live in Tokyo. I hope they are okay. As of now, the main HQ in Tokyo for the company I work for part time gave us updates that things are starting to settle down. I pray that the worst is over.
It was a relief that the tsunami never hit the Philippines as one of the provinces that would face danger is my parents' hometown where some of our relatives reside. I thank God (and all the powers that be) for answering our prayers.
For all those in my f-list that resides in Japan at the moment, I do hope you are safe and sound. I offer my prayers for you and your loved ones.
