Well, I guess it's more of an ice day than a snow day. Whatever you call it, I'm home for the day because of really bad roads around the area. We had a two hour delay yesterday after we had a few inches of snow followed by sleet and icy rain overnight. It didn't get super cold last night, just into the mid twenties, but that rain / sleet mix kept up most of the night I think. I was surprised they canceled the whole day until I stepped out into the backyard and was checking out the ice on the cement patio. It's super thick and very slick and would be horrible to walk or drive on. If the sidewalks and roads are like that I can't imagine what it would be like for kids walking to school and for buses to drive on some of the larger hills in the area - not that there are lots of those! :) But every school district in this area is closed so it must be bad everywhere.
So, I'll just enjoy the day here and try and get a few things done for Christmas. There are things that need wrapping and stuff that still needs to be ordered online and things like that! :) And, if I get bored, I could always clean my house...
Nah, probably not!
