Sup.
I haven't posted the Panto photos yet, BUT Y'ALLS BITCHES CAN WAIT.
I'm chillin' in the Reid library waiting until 3 when I have to go watch a film for Italian (it looks much more enjoyable than last week's one) feeling lonely but not stressed at all, which is nice and new. This week went thus
Monday: Catch up on sleep
Tuesday: Contract assessment due
Wednesday: Anthropology assessment due
Thursday: Italian test
So it was sort of BAM BAM BAM. And now I can breathe.
Also, as it's turned out, I'll be getting a weekly fix of mass-Pantee socialising. On Sunday some of us are going to a play at Curtin, and then apparently going to some Curtin student's party. The theme is 'Douchebags' I'm going as a UWA Law student. Kira's going as a douche bag. Then next Friday we're having a picnic with more people, then wine and films and potentially snuggling at Brad's house. Aaand the week after that will be Adam's birthday party on the Saturday, where there'll be lots of people who aren't Pantees, but also Pantees. It's a heroes and villains theme. I'm busting out the Harry Potter robes. Spending all that money on the scarf, tie, owl and wand was an investment, okay, and I will wear that costume as many times as I can.
To organise going to the play, Sam sent out a facebook message on Tuesday night inviting people. Within about a dozen replies we'd sorted out which night to go and all the necessary details, but we somehow managed to all just keep talking to eachother, so the message thread was alive for many hours into the night, and then was resurrected throughout Wednesday and continued until about midnight. Then we had to move it out of the facebook thread because there were people who had been sent the original message but hadn't participated, who had received hundreds of notifications and were getting mad. It was a beautiful thing, though.
Ok. I'm going to go watch this movie now. The plot synopsis includes this sentence:
"The sergeant takes up folk dancing and the shyest of the soldiers falls profoundly in love with the island's single, very overworked prostitute"
Awesome.
