Lets see now what's going on...

The new xbox 360 is slated to be released at the end of this month. I've been thinking about it for a while now and I think i'm going to buy one. Seeing this guy makes me glad that I waited to buy one. I wasn't going to get one at all and then I saw some of the games there were coming out. Assassin's Creed alone makes me want to buy one, on top of that you've got other games such as Gears of War, Halo 3, and Dead Rising. Granting, Dead Rising didn't get great reviews, but I really love the whole post-apocalyptic zombie setting. It's pretty expensive, but you get a lot of system for the money, and on top of that you can program games that can run on it. Some co-workers and I have considered entering a contest to build a game. I'll need a 360 if I want to contribute much.

I started up an account over at ytmnd.com. I really like that website. I've made two so far, both of them out of photoshops of friends here at work. Here are the links for them:

Epic Programming

If you aren't familiar with ytmnd then you probably will think those links are stupid, and I suppose they are, but they're fun and they're a good way to vent some creative energy. I suspect I'll make more, they are fairly addictive.

I went with Autumn and the wife to see Reign On Me. It was a pretty slick movie. I was pretty apprehensive of Sandler in such a serious role but I think he did well. No academy awards do I anticipate, but he held his own, which is pretty darn good considering his past work. There was only one part that I saw him in his old comedic form. In one scene he starts kind of sobbing in between breaths, and it sounded a lot like one of the characters on one of his CDs. Other than that though I was pretty much pulled in, and I really liked it. It brings to light an aspect of 9/11 that hasn't been talked about much to my knowledge; dealing with the stress of losing family in the attack. I also noticed that Adam Sandler released this movie under a different label. His comedies he releases under Happy Gilmore Productions or something like that. This one was by Madison 23. Interesting. ^_^ I dub thee movie... NOT CRAP ALTHOUGH SOMEWHAT DEPRESSING!
