Well I was sick last week with something really nasty. I would say it was the flu but I never had a fever, so I have no idea what it was. It's over now though, and the only residual effects that I've notice are some weight loss and having to miss out on an entire week's worth of running. I'll be back in the gym tomorrow, I might even go tonight for a little bit and lift some weights or something. Wash your hands peoples, you don't want that nastiness that I had. We're talking the twirlies here.
I'm excited about this weekend. Amanda and I are going out for a Valentine's Day date to Memphis to eat at BlueFin and to watch Spamalot. I'm very excited about this. I haven't seen a play since the night I proposed to Amanda (Chicago), and this isn't just a play. It's a Monty Python play. Oh sweet joy. ^_^
On the entertainment subject. I've been watching Battlestar Galactica via Netflix, which I'm enjoying a lot. It's always nice to watch good quality Sci-Fi, and this is VERY good quality. I've heard the story suffers a bit in season 2, but as far as what I've seen in season 1, the story is really good. I like the characters, I like the plot, I like the music, the filming, everything. I went with the friends to see Hannibal Rising, which was also very good. It's got me very curious about the books. Lori recommends them, and we have pretty similar tastes, so I may give them a try whenever I'm able to.
Next week I'm off to Conway to train on a program called DataStage, which should be interesting. I tend to get lonely and bored when traveling alone, as I will be. So I'll probably be updating this journal more. Speaking of which, I should probably load WOW onto my laptop for nighttime activities...
