I went to see Flags of Our Fathers this weekend. Excellent movie! I would suggest that you all go see it and get an idea of what the ole WWII was like. The movie focuses on the famous picture of the marines raising the US Flag (the one which was emulated later in the WWII memorial), and consequentially, is about the assault on Iwo Jima. I learned a lot about that attack and also about the history of that picture. It really was good. Go see it. I'm not going to even dub the movie. Just go see it.
I also saw the Prestidge, which was a very unique movie. It reminded me of a book a read not long ago by Peter Straub called Shadowland. It wasn't the same, but there were some definite similarities (such as the whole rival stage magician theme). I was entertained, but at times I was also bored. The ultimate winner over of this show to me was that it had David Bowie and Michael Caine in it.
Halloween is just around the corner, how many of you guys are dressing up? I'm gonna go to a party at Lori's dressed as Jareth the Goblin King. Which should be interesting. I'm sure pictures will surface somewhere.
I shaved the beard off today. I'm completely void of the facial hair, which makes me feel weird and self-concious. I had to do it for the sake of the costume though. (looks around apprehensively). The wife laughed at me when she first saw me, and I'm not sure how to take that... lol.
Work is frustrating currently. More about that stuff later and probably in a private post.
