today we went to skid row....it was really sad to see the way that the majority of the world lives. To think how extremely blessed we are to have the amazing resources that we have when people do not have shoes or shelter over their head, when people sleep in cardboard boxes and line up for food and showers, when the police come by at 5 in the morning to take you to jail if you dont move, when you desperately want someone to take a genuine interest in your life. I could not imagine being in their places. It was a shock to talk to No Name, Chris, Wayne, Margaret, and the other people i met today. They are normal people. They had normal lives before living on the streets of LA. I loved talking to them and getting to know them. i think i grew a lot in those few short hours....it was way cool
