Why I enjoy urban living from time to time.

Some guy from Whole Foods just walked down the block for a smoke break and sat on the steps of the bank under construction across the street from me and watched me tend my plants. While this may seem creepy, it's not like he walked out there to watch me, it just so happened that I was watering/pruning the plants in my window box and then on my balcony. When I was adding dirt to the window box, I looked out at the street and and he smiled. I was like awww, flower lovers unite. Then he headed back to Whole Foods because I assume his break was over. I love moments like that, and I love the strange unity that human beings have. This is why I like living in the city.

On Friday, Sally (my car) decided to die at the train station. That was an exciting Fourth of July. Maybe I'll explain more about that later. For now, I am content.
