A(n Honest) Letter of Change

Sep 28, 2010 17:19

Dear anyone who reads this,

I have decided to make this journal as a 'report-like' journal, whereas I will write about my current chaotic life in China. Yes, I am now in China, ladies and gentlemen. I have moved from hot, crowded Indonesia to freezing, also-crowded China. Hmm.

When I moved to China? A little more than a month. Yes, A MONTH. I moved to China at 21st of July to continue my education, so here I am. From someone who rarely study for Chinese tests (little papers always helps, yes?) to directly LIVE in THE China, it IS a big change. I wouldn't really mind if I move to somewhere with English as the main language, but this is China. Not everyone knows how to speak English.

And then, here comes the best part: DORMITORY. I'm now living in a dorm, with 2 devils (one really dangerous, and one not really menacing) as our dorm teacher, and retards as my dormmates. I'm not saying 'retards' because I hate them, no, I love them-- it's just that they really are idiots. Playing golf with a basketball as the ball and a stretched hanger as the stick? Having a movie night watching horror movie and ended up getting bored (because it was Japanese with Chinese subtitles)? *snicker*

I especially hate the devilish dorm teacher, though. o.o It may be because I'm so damned childish, but THE WHOLE DORM AGREES WITH ME. :) So I'm not alone. *grin*

Attending an American-based school from a Canadian-based school IS a change. There are many terms I didn't know-- and I had to cope with it. When my friends starts to talk in China, I can just keep quiet. It's not my fault that it's China. If I were in Indonesia, I would mostly do that too. Speaking Indonesian in front of a friend that doesn't know Indonesian, just because I'm in Indonesia. So I don't mind. *shrug*

I'm lucky enough I got into the B class -- the class where the students are fluent in English. The A class are hellish- some of them are HUGE (some Chinese are huge and/or fricken' tall. I was totally shocked when I came here) and most of the time, they automatically speak in Chinese. They're good kids, though. I love all of the students in my grade. Some are just...weird.

I believe that I've been stranding away too far from the main topic, but oh well. That's me, after all *roll eyes*.

From now on, I would most probably write about the stupidity in the dorm, the works I had to do, people I met, experiences -- in short, how I cope in slowly with what I have to cope with. :) Love life? Hah, who knows?

Yours truly,
Raccoon's cousin, Racoon. (Yes, raccoons can write.)

pfft...
