Some may say that my life is simple and others may say that my life is boring. When days get hard and tedious, like recently, I try to:
-look at the stars- Geoffrey taught me to recognize the Orion Belt. Yay!
-smell the flowers- the Dogwoods are blooming!
-think of Mexico- the feeling of doing something purposeful
-try to think of physics as "cool"- now I know why the sky is blue, but it has lost some of the magical qualities once it gets reduced to scattering of light and wavelengths
-read inspiring messages- such as this
and this
-listen to music- I have Joseph Arthur's "in the sun" stuck on repeat in my head
-remembering good times- last night on Franklin St.! Bon fires, impromptu dancing to drums, being happy
-write- my happy notebook is full. I'm already on my second one
-spending time with you, and you, and you -sorry I missed dinner tonight on South Campus =(

I received my MCAT admission ticket in the mailbox today. I'll be taking it on April 22nd at Duke (they suck). I'm starting to think the AAMC is obsessive-compulsive. Under the list of things to bring on test day: "Personal ID with both your photo and signature, in the same name as on this Admission Ticket. If your photo ID does not have your signature on it, bring a second ID that has your signature. Three soft-lead (No. 2) pencils, an eraser, and two ballpoint pens with black ink. ....Test Supervisor will affix white, self-adhesive fingerprint lable of your right thumbprint here." What if I bring 3 pens??? Or if I get the paper cut on my right thumb the day of the exam??? Oh, the horror. Hahahhaa.
