no one will love you anymore on himmel street
I feel like I've been in more of a journaling mood lately, probably in large part because I've become obsessed with Sarah Vowell. Of course I have. I can't just like something/someone. ;) I finished reading her awesome travelogue/history novel called Assassination Vacation the other day and now I'm working my way through The Partly Cloudy Patriot. So I have this new thing where I have to put spaces between words in underlined titles... Anyway, she is highly awesome and I highly recommend you check her out. I met her last fall and I wish I'd already read some of her books then, cos I would have had SO MUCH to say to her. Darn it. But she'll probably come back. She, like David Sedaris, does tours a lot. That's part of the job of being an author. Which I find so awesome.
So now I've got three author idols and one screenwriter/director idol. Hmm.
Besides reading, I fiiiinally wrote and recorded my first Songs From Himmel Street song. If you haven't read The Book Thief yet, you really should get on that. But this should still make sense. I'm going to try and keep my songs spoiler-free, but if they ever are spoilertastic, they'll be clearly marked with the giant red letters of the internet world (i.e., caps-lock).
