Why do I care about Gilda's Club? Well, this was written to me in response to my $10 donation today:

It might be a child learning to express their feelings about a parent's cancer diagnosis. It might be a woman learning to love her body again after a cancer treatment. It might be a teenager learning to talk to their sibling who has cancer. It might be a parent learning to grieve the loss of a child. Across North America, your gift will enable Gilda's Club to help people living with cancer feel a little bit less alone and a little bit more hopeful for the future.
At Gilda's Club, we know that when there is cancer in the family we are all living with cancer. While medical care helps individuals fight the disease, people with cancer and their families are often left to deal with the equally urgent emotional and social needs. Gilda's Club helps people take that next step by learning how to live with cancer, whatever the outcome. Gilda's Club is also the only place where the entire family can join together to experience a community of support.
We provide our program entirely free of charge and rely entirely upon the generous donations from individuals, foundations and corporations.
Thank you for helping us move one step closer towards our goal that no one should face cancer alone.
