As a human being of any society created generic faux "race," you have the absolute right and responsibility to butt in when you hear another human being making racist comments towards others.

That argument: "because i'm (insert any non European ancestry of your choosing) it means its okay to make racist comments because i can't be racist since i'm of a (non European ancestry is all bullshit. Racism is racism regardless of the pigmentation of your skin and features. The worst part of it that makes it an issue is the prejudice and the oppression that arises from it. If people kept their racist ideologies to themselves and it didn't permeate into affecting people's lives, then it wouldn't be a problem. But since that isn't the case....

I can't tell you what to do nor do i want you to do something simply because i say so, after all, you're the one who has to live with the consequences. So this guy at your workplace, he sounds like he's already far gone because deep seated hatred and ignorance is as hard as rock to break but it can be broken with the right tools and time. So it is completely up to you to say something based on how strongly you feel and if you're willing to live with the consequences pleasant or not.

just as a note, regarding the middle of your second paragraph, we're working with the "racism=prejudice+power" definition.
