so I went home yesterday at 10am, and I didn't know what to expect from the storms. I had been preoccupied all Friday with sobering up, avoiding Craig and Megan, and Nerf Wars that I paid little attention to the fact that there had been tornadoes in Hendersonville. I heard from both mom and dad, they were ok, and it had never been that bad before, so i kinda shrugged it off.

DEAR JESUS, it was bad.
DEAR JESUS, we were lucky.

I haven't heard that any of my friends were hurt or their houses destroyed, but all of them came real, real close. The tornado was about 500 yards from my house, my mom saw it out of the window at the hospital where she works, and my dad was driving home from nashville at the time. We went to my grandmother's in Gallatin for dinner tonight and had to go through a national guard checkpoint because they weren't letting people in her neighborhood because half of it was destroyed.

SCARY

I also feel guilty because we had a tornado warning friday, and i knocked on all of my girls' doors, and told them the stairwell was the safest place, but that it didn't even look that bad outside so meh, whatever they wanted... I should not have slept through it...
