The light chatter in the kitchen brought the warmth that was missing from the Burrow ever since the war broke out. Things were improving and Ginny couldn’t be happier.
If only she could say the same about her and Harry…
They weren’t together, and yet not exactly apart. Missing him like this was worse than when he was away. How was it possible to miss someone so bad when he was so close?
Their eyes met, two feet away across the room and something there startled Ginny.
Harry missed her too.
Ginny smiled as he closed the space between them.
