Hurt feelings and other such things.
I tried calling Sunny today to organise to maybe go to the dog park together with our dogs to catch up because I hadn't seen her for ages and she was only in town for ten days. I did this because Jared booked tickets for the advanced screening of Paranormal Activity at the movies for the two of us and so as a result, I wasn't really able to go see her tonight at the hotel for dinner. I could have just left it and not tried to call her and just not gone at all, but I tried to make it up to her by doing something else with her instead. All I got from her was hostility, bitchy remarks and then she hangs up on me.
You know what? Fuck that. I don't deserve to be talked to like that. I can't just drop everything in my life and run to her whenever she flies through the country. So sue me if Im busy. I work late nights so I can't go out. I can't help that. The days I was free throughout the afternoons after work, she wasn't, and she then gives only a days notice to a dinner that I wasn't able to go to because I had prior arrangements for a birthday that I promised I'd go to. She did try to make it another day, because other people couldn't make it the saturday, but I wasn't planning on him BOOKING tickets to that movie. Heck I even tried to do something the next day with her and she was still a bitch to me about it.
I honestly tried calling her throughout the week, but my phone hasn't been allowing me to make outgoing calls everynow and then. It stalls/freezes, refused to send messages even though I had full coverage and definitely paid all my bills, and when I did finally make a call it would cut out halfway through. So You know, it kind of makes things hard to contact people, especially when you've moved and no longer have a landline to rely on for backup.
I tell her this and still she gave me shit about it. Like she thinks Im making it up just as an excuse for not seeing her.
Some understanding, nice friend she turned out to be.
Eurgh. Its just so frustrating. Especially when you explain your situation and even try to make ammends and get this kind of harsh, distant response in return.
Anyway. I bought a new phone today, and switched to Vodaphone. Hopefully I can rely on this more than Optus. Nice looking phone too. So I can finally make and receive calls as of tomorrow!
Lynns party last night was great. Fun friendly atmsophere with the best friends ever. Was good to see her too, as I hadn't seen her I think since her last birthday! Would have been even more fantastic if my damned shoes weren't killing me. BUT pancakes on the rocks made up for the pain and had a VERY lovely time when we got back home. ;)

Also went out the night before to good old Carmens with ze girls. Many drinks, fun chats and girly fun was had by all. :D I've missed girl time... severely!
