All About Politics.

I have always been an admirer and have been profoundly fascinated in anything regarding Political Sciences. Although The United States of America isn't my home country, I find immense interest in their political system and of course, the current elections. Now I haven’t had many occasions to keep myself up-to-date on the recent events, as well as ( Read more... )

Ooh, well if this is a surprise to you ... I support Hillary Clinton fully. Personally, she strikes me as someone who cares honestly and deeply about the people of the US, as well as the people of the world. It seems like Barack is in it for the glory, and for the the title of POTUS. She's been working to improve people's lives for 35 years, especially children's. When Bill was the Gov. of Arkansas, she served on the board of the children's hospital, and by the time they left it was the 2nd biggest children's hospital in all the US. When she was a First Lady, she led Bill's effots to provide health care for everyone. Now, she is again fighting for health care. Her plan covers everyone w/ the mandate (income caps & tax rebates are provided) whereas Barack's plan leaves out 15 million people, potentially. I mean, I could honestly go on and on and on, but I won't. You can check out her plans on her website, HillaryClinton.com. The fact that she's a woman is only a plus, but definitely ADDS to my support of her, but it's not the BASIS. ( ... )

Thank you so much for sharing. I've been leaning towards her even more these past few days but a few incidents and problemes still stops me from supporting her fully, like her opinions on stay-at-home mothers and her recent videos concerning 9/11 and terrorists in Middle Eastern countries to emotionnal connect with the voters druing the Pensylvania primary. I will do more research for sure.
You have no idea what your comment means to me, thank you :)

Well, she never said she was against stay at home moms ... if she were, she wouldn't have been fighting for women's rights / children's rights all these years. That lifestyle just doesn't suit her; but it very well fits other women. :) Some women enjoy staying home and taking care of their children and aren't satisfied with other professions. Hillary, though, was born to do what she is doing; and I think we can all see that she is a good mother. That is something not even the nastiest of haters can deny her; Chelsea is a wonderful young woman.

Re: The videos. Hillary didn't make the videos herself, obviously. Unfortunately, it's a type of propaganda that is quite often used in politics; take it with a grain of salt. Barack Obama, on the other hand, has unleashed numerous commercials attacking Hillary's character; she has never once attacked his personality; only his politics. Keep that in mind. :)

You're welcome! I love discussing politics.

I do understand it's not the right lifestyle for her but I do frown upon her not accepting it fully as other's lifestyle. Just this particular statement still gets on my nerves every time someone brings it up ( ... )

I just love these debates with you. It's so refreshing to find someone my age who will agree with me and if not, fight her position. And NOT just on hair and make-up, so thank you for this ( ... )

Oh, I'm completely with you! I've seen Obama attack Hillary's character several times on TV, and it makes me cringe furiously. She's done so much to help so many people. She is someone I truly admire.

I won't say too much about the subject, but even though I'm from Norway, I take great interest in US politics.
