Oppression

Can someone turn down the heat please?

After living away from New Mexico, I somehow forget about these thing New Mexicans have called "Swamp Coolers". The idea is to pump water near a large fan and cool the air with mild humidity. But I think the actual root of the term "swamp" cooler, comes from that cliche, "And if you believe that, I've got some swampland in Florida to sell you." Because swamp coolers are just about that useful. Or maybe it's an oxymoron. Swamp. Cooler. I ran it all night last night, and at dawn the inside of my house was easily 10 degrees warmer than the air outside.

And oppressive heat is not conducive to an active sex life. Especially when two people who are in a new relationship and are totally hot for each other 99.9% of the time, end up just being hot. So, I understand that my bf doesn't want to cuddle in the heat. But, that doesn't stop me from awaking in the morning and cursing Ra for me not gettin' any the night before.
