KNOCK ME DOWN WITH A FEATHER!
I don't believe it! After working for Sainsburys for nearly two and a half years, I have actually been awarded 'Shining Stars'! :-) For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, 'Shining Stars' are given to those colleagues who have done a great job, and the colleagues in question receive a Sainsburys gift voucher worth £10 to reward them for their efforts! So, basically I have been given a £10 Sainsburys gift voucher to spend instore on the item(s) of my choice! In the words of Spike Milligan (after receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award at the British Comedy Awards in 1994) "About Bloody Time!" :-) I have been putting myself out for Sainsburys for weeks on end! Firstly, I have been working an extra half an hour per shift with no pay; secondly, I now start work at 6am on a Saturday morning, in order to put out salad packs ready for when the store opens at 7am; and lastly, I have been doing overtime at the drop of a hat, in order to help out with the staff shortage that we have got on the Produce department! I am a most deserving case, don't you think? So, methinks I will spend my voucher on something medicinal for me, i.e. a bottle of Famous Grouse whiskey! Cheers me dears! :-)
