A NEW BROOM ALWAYS SWEEPS CLEAN! :-/

As from next week, I will have a new line-manager on the produce department. My current line-manager is transferring to a branch in Bath, as he hopes to become a duty manager one day. Therefore, he has to transfer around in order to achieve this. Even though nobody on my department liked him very much, I always found him to be OK, and in many ways I shall miss him. He has always been polite and friendly, and I am worried that the new line-manager might not be quite so accommodating. I have heard a rumour that it might be a female line-manager, and to be honest if 'she' is anything like the female line-manager that I used to have at my previous place of employment, there's gonna be trouble! As a general rule, I do not find female 'bosses' to be as nice as male ones! Perhaps, being female, they see other females as a threat! I am also worried that 'they' might expect me to do more work in my six-hour shift! At the moment, I only do the code-checking and reductions on the shop floor of the produce department, and somebody else does the code-checking in the coldstore, plus what is known as the 'disposals' (i.e. out-of-date/poor quality fruit and veg). There is no way on this planet that it is possible to do both jobs in a six-hour shift! I do have an ally on my department who will probably stick up for me over this matter; my department C.T.S. (I never did find out what C.T.S. stands for!) If the worst comes to the worst, I shall either (a) transfer to another department (e.g. S.T.Y.), (b) transfer to another store (e.g. East Filton) or (c) leave Sainsburys altogether! Hopefully, as I usually find, if I fear something it usually turns out OK. I will let you all know what happens regarding all of this in a weeks time! T.T.F.N.! xxx.
