well this weekend was a bust, but still a 100x better than my 1st weekend here haha. friday i rented alfie and got a bottle of wine. that was fun. saturday, hmmm i dont even know what i did, oh yea i went to the gallleria but coudlnt find anything, then read all day. that david sedaris. today i went to a fabric store, and boguht a wedding ( Read more... )

Hey Rachel, I'm not sure how busy you are, but this guy that I do promotions for is looking for someone in dallas to do a job for him. the company you'd be doing it for is Spectre Entertainment (http://www.spectremusic.com/). They're the guys I did the myspace thing for. Here's what his email said:

promote a movie? It's actually a pretty big gig.

It would involve hand-to-hand promo at shows throughout July, as well as
a lot of retail location coverage, malls, gyms, campuses, etc. It would mostly be evenings, and weekends. Although, if she could do stuff around lunch hours, etc... It's relatively flexible."

It also pays around $750 or so. You basically just hand out flyers and put up posters in various places and take some pictures of some of the places so they know you actually did it. It's not hard. Sorry this is so long, but let me know if you want to do it or know someone who might.

mm well it sounds interesting, my only prob would be i dont know dallas at all, even been to the galleria once and then to work. would they be looking for someone to do all of dallas, or like north part, etc?

i guess it would just be the most populated areas. just so that you get the word out. i'm not sure though. i'll ask him and then let you know.
