stood on the edge, tied to a noose; you came along & cut me loose

So I'm in Mattoon again. It's funny that I haven't posted since the last time I was in Mattoon, but then again, I'm not really online much down in SC (at least not til school starts). Anyway, I've been having a pretty nice time. I've actually stayed busy, which is nice. I went to the State Fair in Springfield b/c my Dad is in a *band!* and they played there (check them out at www.suedemusic.net) It's definitely not my kind of music, but he has fun, and so I'm glad for him. It was also pretty nice to eat fair food (it's always nice to do that). I know this is going to make some people's stomach's churn, but I don't care--it was good.  I ate a deep fried s'more! Man-oh-man was that tasty. It was like a s'more on the inside and a funnel cake on the outside.

Anyway, once we got back to Mattoon, I've stayed busy w/family and I got to see Lindsay's classroom, which was awesome & overwhelming at the same time. It made me realize I'm SO not prepared to be where she is in only 1 year. I've got LESS than 1 year to be where SHE is. Scary?...you bet it is. But nonetheless, her room looks great, and she's gonna be an awesome 1st grade teacher this year! :)

Last night, I hung out with Sarah & Jonathan McMinn. It was such a surprise to hear from Sarah, but in the end, I was very glad she called. I had a great time with them just catching up and everything. We had a lot of laughs and memories of 6th grade. We attempted to dig up our 6th grade time capsule (which is not to be uncovered until 2015), and we failed. I'm sure Sarah will have entertaining pictures to come! It was definitely a good idea anyway.

Other than that, I leave Friday morning to head back to Cola. I'm anxious to return, but I'm dreading the fact that it's almost time for school. This is going to be such a L-O-N-G  year. A long, hard year. But, I've still got a bit of time left to work & to try to make that $$$. Alright, that's it for now.
