My to-do list is coming along nicely. Hebrew is finished (exams and all) and my Halacha and Foreign Policy papers are ready to be printed out and handed in. All thats left is 2 exams, my Jewish Ed paper, and of course, packing. This week has so far been an excellent combination of hard work, procrastination, and late nights.
Tuesday, after hitting the 8th page of my foreign policy paper, thought that it would be fun to go Israeli dancing. I was right of course. I spent a few hours with Shosh, Rebecca, Jonathan, and Haley, alternately dancing along with ease (I think maybe they played 5 songs I knew...a record for me!) and following along like a bumbling idiot. I wish I had gone more often; as much as I am looking forward to Israeli dancing this summer at the Y in Manhattan (Wednesday nights...want to come?) its sad that this was my last chance to dance in Israel for a long while. A bit after midnight we headed out and walked Haley back to Beit Nativ. By the time we got there out plans changed slightly, and we ended up heading back to the Scopus and watching the Joseph DVD instead of getting a good nights sleep.
Last night (after a bit of AIM/Skype craziness) Daniel and I started studying for our foreign policy final (I average about four pages of notes per class. Fun times.) and then stayed up till 2:00ish working on our papers. Today I went over to say goodbye to Terri and we went out to lunch at the Hess cafe. Yum. She asked me if being an EIE madricha was in my future. I replied in the negative, but left in the possibility of staffing a summer trip.
I can't believe I'm leaving so soon. I'm thrilled to be finishing up schoolwork, but I have no desire to turn around after my last final and start packing. I feel very lucky to at least know that I have another year (or maybe 2 if I decide to spend time learning at Pardes before going to HUC) to spend here after university. Tonight a bunch of us are going to a lag b'omer party that Hillary's family is throwing on their Moshav. It should be fun times. Tomorrow I'm planning on spending most of the day in town taking care of last minute shopping needs. Then its time for our "shabbaton" at the Shmu (an oddly ironic place for me to end the year), which hopefully will go well.
