I watched Becoming Jane last night.  We've had Netflix for two years now and there have been multiple occasions when we've returned a movie without watching it because we just didn't have the time, or a movie arrived and we couldn't recall adding it to our queue and had little desire to watch it.  Becoming Jane was headed down that road as it had been sitting in my purse for almost a week and a half, but I decided to throw it in and watch it before bed last night.  I really like Anne Hathaway and I enjoy Jane Austen, so I figured it couldn't be that bad.  Well bad it is certainly not.  (And I now need to see every movie James McAvoy has ever been in.)  I don't know how based in fact this movie really is, but holy shit is it heartwrenchingly, tear-jerkingly sad.   It is the third saddest movie I have ever seen.*  Sad in a beautiful, moving way of course.  I loved it.  I immediately started re-reading Pride & Prejudice when the movie ended.

* First saddest movie: Titanic
  Second saddest movie: Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood
