Life is amazing sometimes
My faith in mankind is officially restored.
After my november 9th entry about the lost picture order and contacting smugmug.com, an amazing thing happened. As I mentioned, the website staff emailed to assure me that my missing prints would be redone and express shipped at no cost to me (yipee!) and I should look out for an amazon.com box. Hmmm, I thought, that's strange. Why would a photography hosting website ship prints in amazon boxes? Very odd indeed.
My question was answered 4 days later when THIS arrived from amazon. Words cannot even begin to describe how thrilling that was. Holy shit. The smugmug staff checked out my LJ (I'm assuming because the link to this site is permanently posted as my g-chat away message), and actually bought the doll for me!! Best. Present. EVER! They are SOOO my new best friends FOREVER!!!
The doll itself is fan-freakin-tastic. It's a princess doll that has both a tiara AND a tattoo! I'm sorry, but really, does life get any better than that? And in honor of her abnormally large head* (even for a doll) I've named her Princess Giada.
Oh yeah, and she coincidentally arrived at my door on the same day that Shrek 3 was released on DVD. Style points for that smugmug.
*I discovered after naming her, that her head is only enormous so as to give her a solid center of balance, enabling her to stand of her own volition!! Which really makes her even cooler.
