Foster kittens, Week 10

May 04, 2008 17:32

This weekend my foster kittens turned 10 weeks old! This is the time they are ready to be separated from their mother, but since we are doing shots and spay / neuter, they will be with me for a few more weeks.

They are doing just great, running around and playing and eating like crazy. Fruit Juice is not doing quite as well-she has gone into heat (hence, no photos below of her). While she isn’t going to be making any more kittens, she isn’t having a fun time with it. My cats can also tell she is in heat, and while they are fixed, they are still affected by it.

It is great she is going to be spayed though… if she were given the chance, she would have another litter of kittens soon! Not only that, in just a couple months, all the kittens would be able to start having kittens of their own. It is wonderful to know she has had her last litter of kittens, but it is sad to think of all the cats and kittens out there who are breeding like crazy and don’t have homes.

Anyway, enough with that talk, I hope you enjoy the photos!

Here is Mushroom!

Here is Cream Cheese.

Cream Cheese and Toast together, aren’t they adorable??

And last, Little Toast. He did not want to leave the sunbeam for anything!

Yay, kittens!
