You capture Brennan so well with this and the part with Zack is movingly accurate.

Dirty dishes on pause, forgotten in the sink;
they behave as if nothing bad
had ever happened here
& perhaps never could.

This is such a perfect image, a picture in the mind that says more than a thousand words. I love these lines and a hundred more in this wondrous piece of yours.

And there is a wavy poem again. I shall have to begin to collect them :)

Thank you so much! I edited that part about five hundred times, so I'm glad it worked out. Heh.

Hee. I've begun to realize I have a thing for the ocean.

So have I. And poetry, Dickinson and Frost included, so this is perfect really. ;)

Like the music too, the first one is very Michael Nyman-esque (Yes, that's a word. I think.)

And apparently nursery rhymes, which surprised me by taking over this thing left & right. Ha.

I listened to a lot of Tom Pyrdol while writing the early parts of the story, along with quite a bit of Philip Glass & Bear McCreary (especially toward the end). This one got played on repeat probably twenty+ times during the final section, heh:

Thank you for sharing your writing music ♥ The Melodic Cure and Tom Pyrdol are very much in the same style as a collection of music my brother recently made for me.

I did pick up the nursery rhyme too. More than once! (Pity the children who learn the "modern" version. How will they ever be ready for life if things are censored/sugar coated to the nth degree?!)

Battlestar Galactica, SF TV show if I'm correctly informed...

Sometime this weekend, I'll probably work on a fanfic soundtrack (as I did with my first few stories). Any excuse to spam people with YouTube vids! Heh.

Seriously! Even kids' movies these days pale in comparison to the heartstabby ones we grew up with. Hello, Dumbo?! Bambi? Evil.

Yes, indeedy. It's amahhhh-zing. Like, so amazing that the UN was all, "yo, guys, come talk to us about how amazing you are," and BSG was all, "Sure, dog, why not?"

Here's a spoiler-free taste, if you'd like:

Now I know where the icon with the two people in your comment above is from!

Thank you for the Battlestar Galactica introduction. Interesting request by the UN, hope they picked up some useful advice. An organization that lets totalitarian states chair its Human Rights Committee needs help./End rant

Will keep an eye out for your fanfic soundtrack :)

I never tire of introducing people to BSG, so no problemo. :)
