Silly things aren't silly.
People rarely get it right.
Oscar Wilde said, "Life is far too important a thing ever to talk seriously about it." I felt the need to add onto that, though. Heh. It's in the details. People obsess about crap that doesn't matter. They ignore what does. I love that Brennan is able to remind everyone how to look outside the box by being an anthropologist (and just by being *her*). As Ani Difranco says (I love QUOTES, ha), "Ya gotta look outside your eyes, ya gotta think outside your brain, ya gotta walk outside your life to where the neighborhood changes."
And if you're not willing to try? Well, then, you suck. Haha. J/K.
I adore Cam in this.
OMG, yay! I wasn't confident at all about writing her, but I really, really *wanted* to. I'm glad it worked for you.
I'm thrilled in general that you liked it, honestly. You're one of my fave fic authors.
*eta: P.S. I'm gonna add you as a friend, btw, because it seems silly that we aren't already. I'm always talking to you! And you're all nice & what-not. Hee.

Dawww! *blushes furiously*
That's very kind. And yay for friend addage - yes, why weren't we already??! Have added you back :)
(I always feel the same about writing Cam, btw. She's one of the most fun of all of them to write but for some reason nervewracking too!)
ETA: LOVE the quotes. I always wish I could remember stuff like that / remember to gather them together somewhere when I read them!

You know what I think it is? It's an issue you have to be careful with--she's a minority actress who gets less screentime than her counterparts (Michaela's a minority too, but, let's face it--being African American is more difficult in Hollywood than being half white/half Asian). That's a blunt way to put it, but it's true. Less screentime = less material to base your characterization/writing upon. You don't want to make her two-dimensional or some kind of Mary Sue sidekick, dropping in to give pithy advice or one-liners & that's it. I was very concerned about making her come across that way, and I really hope I didn't. I truly love Cam's character & see her as a complete person.

You need a file cabinet brain! Hee.
