Problems with the upstairs neighbors continue. We are living in the basement of a seven bedroom house, and for a long while we didn't know if the folks upstairs knew we were down here. Last night they had a party. Again. They had about 30 people stomping away to the Cha-Cha Slide, and there was plaster falling from our ceiling. We decided to go upstairs and let them know. We didn't want to complain about noise because it was one of their first nights in a new place, so they should be allowed to throw a party, and they probably didn't know we were downstairs and able to hear everything, but we didn't want our home collapsing either. We had a nice chat with a girl named Chrissy who admitted they had no idea there were people living below them, and promised to stop the noise, or at least stop the stomping. There was no more dance-induced stomping for the rest of the night, but something sure was going on. There was constant noise from 10pm until 10am. It was as impressive as it was annoying. Next time they party too hard, I think I'll go up and give a warning - tell them they have an hour to chill until I call the cops. I think that's fair. It's never easy to completely calm a group after a neighbor comes to complain, so I'll give them a good 60 minutes to either quiet themselves or organize themselves enough to leave and go annoy someone else.
In other news, I'm 98% sure I am allergic to our apartment.
I bought textbooks yesterday because Cristina already emailed my mythology class with reading assignments. I spent a little over $233 on some pretty fantastic looking books.
